Is M1 an Aptos VM and M2 a Sui VM?

For the moment, yes, but our Virtual Machine will allow developers to deploy Aptos, Sui and EVM code to the same Virtual Machine. More to be announced.

Why does MEVM require its own token?

It's a temporary solution to simplify and better understand the behavior of Fractal.
